o, our dear dog, Cookie, had a lump and we took her to the vet. He said it was a mammory tumor and could be fairly easily removed and more prevented if she was spayed. Since she's nine, pregnancy would no longer be a good thing for her anyway. So we did that. He actually found another tumor too and an abcess. She was a hurting unit for a couple days but is doing much better now and once again begs for table food politely.

On the way home from the vet, however, our family discussed many things. Caleb asked if when Pawpaw and Granny moved back, could Granny still substitute at the school since she used to have a Teacher's Gift Certificate? We said sure. Sarah asked how Cookie would stay asleep if someone was cutting her. Dada said they used anesthesia. Sarah asked what was anesthesia. Dada said it was a princess from Russia that Disney once made a movie about. Sarah said, "Oh, I've seen that." No more questions. I prompted Steven to explain the difference between Anastasia and Anesthesia.

Hopefully, your week was entertaining too.

Just a quick update: Our nephew Isaac is doing very well and the doctors "rectified" the situation. Big Praise God!

We woke up this morning to new snow, not enough to slow down school but enough to scoop. Little praise God!

Hope your days are full of miracles too!

Hi All!

Please don't visit us right now. Yesterday I almost expected to wake
up in the Land of Oz with Dorothy and Toto. The wind blew so hard
all night that our family was less than rested for the day. No
clouds, either, which means that the temp dropped too low. So our
"good morning" wind chill was -62 F. Gratefully, today some clouds
are forecast and the wind should change directions to come from some
of you thoughtful people down South. We thank you from the bottom of
our nearly frozen hearts.

I got my hair cut the week before Christmas. Evidently there is an
entire website dedicated to the hairstyles of Paris Hilton. I asked
for number 27. It's about ear length on one side, shorter in the
back and mid-neck length on the other side. If you don't like it,
remember it'll grow. Plus, everything looks fine with a great smile
and nothing looks good on a frown.

Our two new nephews are both adorable! One of them even puts up with
Auntie M pretty well. Of course, they both are already in love with
Caleb and Sarah is great at making them laugh. Please pray for
Isaac, who has surgery on Feb. 4th to make an anus for him.

Blessings,
Marcia
