Valentine's Day was like a dream come true! We feasted on lasagna, chicken parmesan, and three cheese ravioli; our version of the Tour de Italy from Olive Garden. The lovely evening was spent in true Italian style with some new friends, Lane and Sarah Keister, who live within twenty minutes of us. I guess that's close when you live in the central Dakotas!

They treated us to a candle lit chandelier, Italian background music, and then (to top it all off) played piano and sang gorgeous classical music for us!

Yesterday we deep fried a turkey with a homemade Lemon Garlic Marinade injection. It is sooo yummy! My new mixer is definitely getting its use around here. Last night's supper that benefited from it included a bread braid, whipped cream, butter, mashed potatoes and from the blender part, the marinade and Orange Julius drinks.
